Alma Media Corporation, originating from Finland, is the new owner of 25% stake of the company Infostud from Subotica, which until now has been owned by the British Daily Mail Group (DMGT). Changes in the ownership structure were due to the Brits’ decision to change business focus, to withdraw from Central and Eastern Europe and refocus its business to the market of USA and India. 75% of the ownership of the company remains in the hands of Infostud founders, who will continue to lead it.

Internet company Infostud won three first-place awards from the Economic Propagandists Association of Serbia for 2010. All of the awards were given to Infostud for the project “Virtual day of careers and education” – the first Internet fair in Serbia for employment and education opportunities, which was held in October this year. At the same time, the fair was held on a regional level, available for visitors not only in Serbia, but also in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The panel of this year’s “Best of Serbia” organization, acknowledged the company Infostud as the “Best corporate brand” in the category of service providing companies, which do not include finance, commerce or production services. This award was given to Infostud based on the company’s financial and market business results of the last year, as well as the evaluation of the panel. The opinion of the Infostud’s users was also taken into account.

At the regional award festival for the best web projects - “Webfest”, Infostud’s website prijemni.infostud.com, received the audience award in the “Best educational website” category. For the second year running, Infostud’s websites were among the awarded; however this is the first time Infostud received an award for the work done in the field of education and the importance of its’ promotion.
