News - The manager of Infostud winner of the “Cvet uspeha za zenu zmaja 2009” (Flower of success for the Dragon lady)

Branislava Gajic, the manager of Internet company Infostud, received the award “Cvet uspeha za zenu zmaja 2009” in the category “The exemplary employment of women”. Branislava is the youngest winner of this acknowledgment, which she received during the ceremony at the Belgrade Drama theatre on the 10th of June, 2009. This prestigious award has been given by the Business Women Association for three years in a row, to those women of the business world who have devised exemplary models of the employment for women and who actively work on their economic empowerment.

The panel, which consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, National service of Employment and Association of Business Women, evaluated 26 applicants that had accomplished highest standards in business, in their respective fields during the 2009.

Commenting the received acknowledgment, Branislava Gajic said: “I’m always happy when we receive an acknowledgment concerning Infostud, whether it is an award or a comment from a pleased website user. Those events have a special meaning to me because I know that Infostud started from basically nothing, but we have managed to create a successful company. At the moment we have over 30 employees and in the last two years alone, over 60.000 people found a job via our website. An even nicer fact in that information is that around half of them were women.”

A special attention for the question of women in society
Branislava Gajic is the manager and one of the founders of Infostud, an Internet company which successfully leads a group of highly visited websites in Serbia. One of them, the website poslovi.infostud.com, is the largest and most popular online base of available job positions in the country. Infostud, the company with 33 employees of which a solid number are women on ranking positions, has given a special attention to the question of women’s position in society with the section “Attorney answers your questions”. Around 400 women have received a free legal help via this section, asking questions about their rights concerning pregnancy leave or for child care reasons.

The members of the committee which have awarded Branislava Gajic were: Snezana Lakicevic Stojacic, state secretary of the Ministry of labor and social politics, Sanja Popovic Pantic and Olivera Popovic, from the Business Women Association, Natalija Micunovic, the manager of Committee for Gender Equality from the Ministry of labor and social politics, Tamara Samardzic, the manager of the Belgrade’s division of the National Employment service and Sanja Veljkovic, last year’s winner of the “Zena zmaj” award.

The award was also traditionally given in the category “”The most European” women company in Serbia.”
